Dealing With Drama
One of the many things that come to my mind is how I appear to other people? What is their perception of me? If they don’t like me or enjoy my company as a friend or whatever and yet they still smile in my face then talk behind my back how do I deal with that? I want to confront them, but at the same time I want to stay out of drama.
If someone doesn’t like you and they pretend they do, what is the next course of action? Just sit and smile in their face or make things awkward and just confront them? To be honest with you, I don’t think anyone knows that answer, well at least a right answer to that question. It all comes down to what do you think and feel is the best and mature way to go about it. It can be hard, but at the end of day the harsh things said about you from that one person will make its way to your ear. There are options! You can play the game of high school and just put on a face for appearance or be a real housewife and cause a scene or just leave it alone and never make conversation with that person again. It’s amazing how petty and immature things can get you caught up in drama you never wanted to be in, but the truth is you’re going to star in your own drama sooner or later. I recommend sooner, because when we get to a certain age we will be reciting this like a bible verse “ain’t nobody got time for that”.
To sum this up for you, this a decision you have to make and be comefable with, but if I’m being upfront and real with you I gotta say this. I have some regrets about not confronting some people in my past right away. If you don’t like me, then don’t roll with me is a phase I keep with me to this day. I played each approach, me playing the high school game seemed fun and theatrical, but I ended up in drama. The real housewives approach is the same thing. You end up in drama each time, but it’s how you deal with it is how you appear to other people. Closing with your first question, you can’t worry about how other people think of you, you just have to worry about how you think of yourself. Let your maturity show, be you because no matter what we can’t control how it will reflect in the eyes of others who will always for whatever reason have an opinion of us good or bad.
